Invoicer uses an intelligent invoice numbering system that automatically increments based on the number format you enter.
The default format for invoices is INV-00001.
To change to another format or start from a specific number, follow the steps below.
How to change the invoice number
Select the invoice number field:
Enter a new number:
When you go to create another invoice, the system automatically increments to the next number. For example:

You cannot use the same invoice number more than once.
If you have an active or archived invoice, the system will not allow you to use the same number on another invoice.
You need to either change the invoice number or permanently delete the invoice to free up the number.
